According to a Ford service bulletin spotted by InsideEVs, Ford EV owners should cease using the company-provided adapter for Tesla superchargers ASAP. You might expect to hear that the problem is on Tesla's end, but actually, it's not. Ford issued adapters to its EV customers that would allow them to use Tesla's supercharger network and is now recalling them because they can potentially have negative effects on charging speeds and can damage charging ports.

Ford's move to quickly issue adapters to its customers may have felt like a godsend in comparison, but now, those superchargers aren't useful for probably at least a couple of days.
